Easy Classic Hummus Recipe

A classic chickpea hummus recipe with olive oil, paprika and pine nut toppings.

Ingredients
  

  • cup tahini
  • 3 Tablespoons water
  • 2 garlic cloves peeled
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 can (15 oz.) chickpeas rinsed
  • olive oil for topping
  • paprika for topping
  • pine nuts roasted, for topping
  • salt & pepper for topping

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients except chickpeas to food processor. Pulse until a smooth paste forms.
  • Rinse chickpeas and add to food processor. Pulse until smooth and combined.
  • With the processor running, add an additional 1-2 Tablespoons of water until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Transfer to a bowl. Top with a swirl of olive oil, sprinkle with paprika and roasted pine nuts. Add salt and pepper to taste.
